The first time i really encountered diversity was as a missionary in miami, florida. I didn't realize how intense some of the prejudices were. And so this story helps us see that sometimes we're really opposed to opening ourselves up to getting to know people. We'd rather cling to our prejudices than actually be educated and learn and have a soft t.
