Max Moore: Some people want to download our brains as code. Others like Rob Kurzweil with this idea of the singularity actually has something more mystical in mind where at some point, really sort of big data and AI is going to take on sentience but we will no longer have our kind of individual selves within that. And I find that deeply problematic. On the other hand, as you say, I am very sympathetic to thinking about and trying to understand what I would call human machine co-evolution or human techco-evolution.
