Counter Surfing and the Dog at the Front Door

If you're a professional trainer, the most important thing you could do is teach them manage your environment. Do not have the dog loose to pee in your house if they haven't gone to the bathroom. Do not put them in a room with your favorite rug where they can chew it up. If there is food on the counter, then take it because it's good. What does it do? Increases the counter surfing behavior.
