In the 19 eighties, the russians had tried to figure out how we make this applicable athletes. They'd started a giant programme for their olympic athletes and for their national athletes. But as they were developing this programme, the soviet union crumbled and the whole thing fell apart. A bunch of original scientists stumbled on to each other at a track meeting in Oregon. The project was never completed but it led to magwave being formed. Magwave made the first commercial grade hira variability technology. It's now used by more than 20 countries around the world.
