The Importance of ARC in Memory Consolidation

The main interest that I've had throughout my career is trying to understand how the brain stores information for long periods at time but really trying to figure out how that works at the molecular level. How do the synapses between neurons store information and take in a very focused approach by working on one particular gene called arc ARC. "Every time I think that we've solved what that one gene does it throws us surprises then I can't let go of it"
