Chaucer's Canterbury Tales
Chaucer is a master of incompletion. Many, many of his texts are incomplete or they're stageally incomplete. But I think he thinks that he's trying to do in the Canterbury Tales is to make us listen to lots of different kinds of points of view. Some tales are interrupted, deliberately interrupted by other pilgrims who don't like them. After that, we never go back to a social hierarchical way of telling tales. That might be the bigger vision.
