How to Find Resources to Help You Pick a Project

Get a book that teaches you the language, plus a prodecty one. There should be a computer section in your local bookstore or library. Try to solve something yourself before looking up how someone else does it. Computer science is more practical and math-based than programming. A lot of computer science professors aren't great programmers.
