Liberians at Home and Abroad Are All Dual Citizenship

Some Liberians living abroad have expressed a desire for their children born abroad to have the connection to Liberia. They view dual citizenship or the enactment of dual citizenship as a conduit for that. Others argue that participating in the political process of a country requires that you actually live there, that you have residents there. So you can see this sort of contention amongst even Liberians abroad that they have very heterogeneous perspectives about what the entitlements, what the rights and obligations should be for those who live abroad.
