The Importance of Being Silly
The narrator meets Gwendolyn Ermey, the daughter of a man who wants to marry her mother. The pair are in love but can't get married while their mother is still alive. They meet up with Veriker's editor George Corvik after his latest novel has been reviewed and he warns him against being 'silly' Chapter 2: Our narrator wonders if Veriker will think it was so on we go to visit my Bridges.
