Even the greeks understood that the world was globar, itwas round. The idea that christianity had somehow ignored or a destroyed greek philosophy and greek natural philosophies is wrong. Those texts were actually preserved in monasteries of the church. And they preserve this greek literature a ther a time. There are probably more people alive now who believe in a flat earth than they have been in the last two thousand years.
