The Challenges of Disruptive Innovation Organizations
The challenges are pretty obvious. If they were pretty obvious, they might be at least identified and docked about and maybe fixed. The organizational problem is that if you try to stand up disruptive innovation organizations inside of execution organizations, those that do repeatable processes always die unless they're strongly defended by being put into law. And the reason why is both no one in the civilian leadership of the DoD has had experience in private capital or venture or innovation.
