The History of Gremlins
Gremlins were whispered about by members of the UK's Royal Air Force. Crewmen blamed them for missing fuel or underlying mechanical problems. During World War II, Gremlins were portrayed as equal-opportunity tricksters. They weren't just an inconvenience and a reason to double check before takeoff,. they became a force for good. If a pilot was too cocky, little things might go awry. But if a pilot was fastidious and double-checked their work, well, they'd keep it airborne and ensure safe landing.
