The 21st amendment repealed prohibition about 14 years after it was ratified. But an interesting thing arises with the repeal of prohibition that economists refer to as bootleggers and Baptists. So what you end up with is this coalition bootlegger and Baptists, but really it's anybody doing something illegally pit against the moralists of same issue.
