The Importance of Symbols

I think note taking is using symbols to communicate information in a different medium. Would you not see the voice and speech as symbols? Because I don't see them as symbols. I see them as interpretations of symbols because it's something that we're creating in our own minds. And also, also another thing that's coming to mind for me, are my random,. Like, is this note taking right now? Because we're thinking out loud.
