Borling - How to Manage a Dictionary?

The Borling web dictionary is highly cross-referenced, so I was wondering how on earth you manage that. It's hard to find information on Borling these days. The primary version of it is an ASCII text file tab delimited and then search with a grep or with the search functions within Emacs. For instance, if I'm quoting a new word and I think of a sound I want to have the word I have, I could plug that into a fine similar script. But not all the words that are similar and sound to that, possibly the new word. And so many of the pro scripts that process that text file into the HTML Unicode lesson.
