The Convergence of Short Theory Perspectives on Human Value Formation

The biggest update that i take away from short theory is that very complicated values can derive from very simple underlying value formation processes. The behavioral shaping process that open ai uses with gpt models is quite similar to the process that i think underlies human value formation of course there are like higher level meta aspects that are currently not a part of mainstream ai training at least not yet but i think they're very much on the right track for at least some of the low level portions of human behavioral or human value to imitate human value formation processes in silico. I don't think that open ais efforts to align gpts are quote unquote fake alignment research often and i totally disagree with
