The cost of litigation in the United States and in most places is extremely high. What I find really interesting from a design perspective when it comes to reading these warranties, the fine print, so to speak, is that there's this common convention to put them in all caps within really tight blocks of paragraphs with no paragraph breaks or line spacing. We know how to make content legible. It's so easy to make this information scannable. And yet often when you go into the warranties and look at them, that's a really common convention to putting them in allcaps with no paragraph breaking. Why is that?
