Martin Luther King Jr. didn't start actively working on that speech until four days beforehand and then it was the night before the speech. He pulled a near-all-nighter rewriting most of it from scratch. I think he knew intuitively that although procrastinating is a vice for productivity it's a virtue for creativity.
