Florence bell was William astbury's research assistant. She took the first x ray images of the dn a structure in 19 38. Bell and aspry came up with a model structure for d and aonow. They got quite a few things wrong about that model, but they also got some important things right. This observation provided watson and crick with a crucial foothold. The most important thing belle did was she showed that you could use this x ray method to reveal the regular, ordered structure of dna.
