The Origins of Home Invasion Movies
Home invasion movies date back to the silent era. The D.W. Griffith film from 1909 is often considered the first home invasion film. Lois Webber co-directed a film in 1913 called suspense, which I think is not just the proto home invasion film but a proto horror film. They're really interesting films to watch.
