The Unity of the Jewish People at Mount Sinai
Sages tell us that the jewish people were united in prayer before the splitting of the sea. And therefore, what's so special about the unity at sinai? Why couldn't they have gotten the tora forty three days earlier as well? Maybe the answer is that when bullets are flying, it's no challenge to be united. When pharaoh is pursuing, when there's danger, then naturally there's going to be unity. However, what happens now? Pharaoh's been vanquished? There's no more enemies. Now the unity is earned. The jewish people arrive at mount sinon and yet they have unity. Theyare a people that is worthy of receiving the torah
