Even when I was writing my first book, Boomerang, I knew that I wanted to use a poison that was in the high school chemistry lab. But I don't know what poisons they have in high school chemistry last. So yeah, I take notes and I'm always observing people. And she said that's a great way to collect ideas like you were saying is just to jot them down as soon as you hear them.
