Marks's Materialism, the Materialist Conception of Nature
Mark was influenced by justice von libig's analysis of the destruction of the soil, or degradation of the soil in europe. He talked about the irreparable rift in the interdependent process of the social metabolism between humaniy and nature. And we've ended up calling that the metabolic rift to understand his ecological crisis theory. So this is intrinsic to his thought in analyzing and developing the critique of capitalism.
