How to Make a Moment Frame Out of FRP
We were looking at a low rise access platform, which I believe is in Arizona. And it was so low rise or short in height with so much MEP equipment below that brace frames just weren't possible. There wasn't enough clear splice to deploy a braced frame. So we said, well, we've got to make a moment frame. How are we going to do this? So, where we landed was an adhesive. Rather than welding, we use adhesive to provide that rigid joint restraint.
