Today it's over a hundred trillion dollars so huge proportion of all global financial wealth is now held and managed by Asset Managers. Huge growth in volume of capital available to be invested however and by whom it's invested, particularly pensions. Diversification story where from early 1980s investors began to want to diversify into different types of assets like shopping centers office blocks hotel chains.
