I was recruited down to New York to work for a firm called Royce and Associates. Then I went to Moody Eldridge about six months before the end of the dot com cycle. And over the next eight years at Canyon, I built that from myself in a room to a team about 15 people running somewhere in the neighborhood of two and a half billion dollars. After being at Canyon for eight years and having a wonderful run with the blessings of Mission Josh, I went to launch my own hedge fund backed by the guys at Soros. As these things often go, there was an unmitigated disaster, unfortunately not for performance reasons.
