Is the ISLT Partisan Gerrymandering?

Some non insurrectionist Republicans are still on board with some version of the ISLT because it would empower state legislatures to gerrymandered without a lot of meaningful checks. The court has never before asserted that federal courts get to second guess what state courts do when they interpret their own constitutions. So I think that having a new standard that's articulated in this case that gives more power to the federal courts, going into the 2024 presidential election is actually really pretty problematic.
