The Havana Syndrome
The first reported cases of what would soon become known as Havana Syndrome surface just after Trump's surprise election through years of diplomatic strategy in Cuba into disarray. One theory was that a sonic weapon that used microwave currents was causing the sound and accompanying pain. Another theory was electromagnetic pulses, which could have caused cavitation or bubbling in the tiny fluid filled passages of the inner ear or in arterial blood. And then of course, there's the possibility of our old friend, mass hysteria or mass psychogenic illness.
