The Elders Mishandled Daria's Case

Peter Stewart was jailed for child sexual abuse in the 1990s. His daughter Daria says he abused her when she was just four or nine years old. He wrote a letter of apology, but it went missing after being handed over to Jehovah's Witnesses elders. She tried to convince them that what she had said was true by telling one man called Alan Orton - who has since died. But even with his written apology, it was treated as just a case of he said she said. It seems strange they didn't talk to more people who might have seen something and investigate further.
