We learned a lot as a species about disease. We vaccinated this country for the most part with a couple exceptions. It's kind of cool that people know what epidemiology sort of is. The trick will really be applying that's going forward and not letting some of the other problems that came up prevent us from learning from this experience.

This episode was produced by Victoria Chamberlin, edited by Matt Collette, fact-checked by Laura Bullard, engineered by Paul Robert Mounsey and Michael Raphael, and hosted by Sean Rameswaram.
