Dickens and Shakespeare sum up a lot of what we've been saying. There are two sides of the experience of education and self formation. The Emersonian side is up to the task of giving expression to what's out there by meeting it with gusto cheer and confidence. Whereas Dickens so that would be the you know the side of asking the questions and answering them or seeking to answer them with confidence. But then there's the strangeness the mystery the way in which one is always just stopped in one's tracks, where you don't have the word.
