The Importance of a Spring Time Christ

The older you are, the more quickly your heart will say yes to my answer. My answer is spring time doesn't last. Spring time in this age is very temporary. You will feel very destitute in the winter's night of your soul and your life if all I give you is a spring time Christ. In those winters you're going to want a Christ who is a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And you are going to want pastors who know better how to weep than how to laugh. That is not easy, breezy, smiley, toothy, TV hope. But God-guaranteed hope in the face of utter blackness.
