i think that that is a theoretical problem if you're operating in a system where a minority of journals have open data policies and the rest don't. So i think that that's a potential issue with current system, but it wouldn't be an issue if there were systemic changes. A, especially if open data was the standard, beause they'd have to share the data that they correct. But if some one else publishes quotin their data set, and it's identical to yours, you could be like, ok, come the fuck on, like, i see what's going on here,.
