What We Learned From Robotic Avatars

There were so many different form factors for these robots. The big thing that we learned throughout this competition was that for the person operating the avatar, there has to be a very low cognitive load. We want to see what that person we're interacting with is responding to us. It didn't look very human, but it had arms. But when the operator was in it, they said it was almost weightless.
