Many of our native English speaking kids do not have academic language proficiency. So these are not necessarily just things we have to apply to experienced multilinguals. They're probably strategies that all of our kids will benefit from anyway. We start with an instructional framework to put this all together in a package and it's really based on Wiggins and McTie's understanding by design.
