The Cado Critter
59 years ago this month, an unidentified hairy creature was lurking around the small town of Cado, Texas known as the Cado Critter. The monster made headlines in the Abilene reporter news in July of 1963. According to Raimi, a hairy creature carried her off into the woods to a cave where she was held prisoner for the night. She only managed to escape after her captor fell asleep and was found wandering through the woods the next day. A body was never brought back to town and no one knows what became of the creature's remains. Sightings of the critter dwindled with searches turning up empty handed but it certainly wouldn't be the last big hairy monster
