The security of the chain still depends on how many validators you are able to scale. And so it's my main concern here is the cost, right? Really what we're trying to do is create the most efficient way of having two chains communicate to each other. All else considered, we really only want to have the underlying security of these chains factored in. The ronan hack was the first one, i believe, that actually exploded the root of trust.

Bridges are critical to a omni-chain future, but the recent bridge hacks totaling $1 billion lost in funds have struck fear in users and many are worried about the security of bridges.
