The History of the Habsburg Empire

In 1790, the Habsburg holdings in the Low Countries rose up in rebellion. With blinding speed, Joseph had alienated almost all of his subjects. He launched an expensive invasion of the Ottoman Empire and pushed back against Prussian power so hard that it made him look like the aggressor. The Brabantine Revolution would soon be under control, but it looks like Joseph's problems were only beginning.
