There's three things for banks: solvency liquidity and then profitability. Solvency is do banks have more in assets than they have in liabilities? If they don't, that's a problem. Liability is the ease with which people can get money in and out of a bank. And the profitability is, is the bank making money? Is it earning enough on its assets to pay people in deposits and keep the deposits in there?
