People usually adjust their beliefs that whatever is happening right now is the new normal. A lot of people really believe they 're about to go into another depression, because had depression before. And so then everyone adjusts their estimates for everything downward. No one ever thinks there'll be a big um correction in a short period of time. They always expect it to be more gradual. Then it will be more like this very recent past.
