The Dangers of Jubilee Economics

When I teach in seminary or in churches and Jubilee comes up the question doesn't come up with anything else in the Bible except the Jubilee. There's no evidence that they really did it is there people recognize that it's the most dangerous teaching in the Bible. In Cincinnati we have a movement called Jubilee Economics which is an attempt to put together funds that bypass banks, aimed at keeping assets in local communities. The idea of Jubilee scares us because it implicates us uh on all levels not just that you know it's easy to talk about the 1% but when we start talking about Jubilee we have to start talking about ourselves also.
