The Tensions After the Berlin Airlift
Allied forces were supplying West Germany just enough to keep the city going. The airlift brought in more than 200,000 tons of cargo a month at the peak of the airlift. Eventually the Soviet Union was like, oh, all right, well, I guess that didn't work. So let's go ahead and open up the rail traffic and the roads again.
