The Nightmare of My Grandfather

In the 1960s my grandfather was a hospital porter. His work usually entailed daily chores such as moving patients from room to room and delivering medical supplies. While he was doing his usual rounds a woman from the ward had gotten free and wandered over to an open window. It was then that she decided to jump to her death. My grandfather had gotten the call to go and collect the remains. He walked around the grounds where her body lay with a stretcher in with his partners. They helped lift the remains but as he did so what was left of the woman's flattened head fell into his arms and separated from her body. The way he tells it her head was like a pancake
