i came into journalism at e time when it really wasn't a graduate profession. Most of my colleagues on the scotchmen had left school at 16 or 15 and come straight into journalism. The idea that it was a very well paid po job was only just beginning to become apparent. Ye e cavint, it was a different social mes. i feel like some angles will just get swelled in in the dominant papers because they'd feel as though no one would really care about it. But if there were more people from a range of backgrounds, we'd actually have a different v point of seeing things. I did have a difficult childhood, but it's just important that we stay on
