The way that they cut the scene made time elongate essentially, and we get to sit here with that. They're trying to make you feel exactly what the character feels. That's one of the things I do love the most about editing. It really can show sometimes simple is better. We are tempted to go big because we can. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
