Why Sufis Tolerate Obtuse People
Sufi: Why do I tolerate others who are often obtuse and make mistakes? He says it is because they suppress their perception of the facts or of truth. The censor is that part of the commanding self which seeks to protect existing ways of thought, he adds. This is why sadi, for instance, says in his bostan the orchard, the door of illumination is open to those whom other doors are closed, fierce and mild.
