Do You Know What Kind of Migration Is Going to Lock a Table?

i think the ultimate goal is for someone to do this professionally and to do this for applications that have clients whether they're internal or external clients so knowing what kind of migration command is going to lock a table. If you rename a column or something like that will be existing application that's already running assuming that you're doing a zero downtime deploy is it going to start to break until the new services been up? i'm maybe pushing into some of the more advanced topics that are intentionally here too yeah but it's still a great thing for someone to research on just because i've been in that situation before where i'm like oh we're going to do some database optimizations.
