Constant's Life, the French Revolution, and the English Revolution
Central event of constant's life was the french revolution and its aftermath. Constant wrote, after all that for wolstonecraft, the revolution came towards the end of her relatively short life, and she lived through it. In many revolutions, not all, but in many revolutions, the wheel keeps turning, and it turns all way. By 16 60, the wheel had turned all the way, and the king's son was king again. The people who are on top find themselves on the bottom. Kings get their heads cut off. Commoners and upruling for a while, anyway.
