The Problem With ES2 Regulations

The idea behind some of these ES2 regulations is to funnel money toward causes circumventing the democratic process by which taxpayer money would normally be funneled toward those causes. It's taking those decisions out of the hands of individuals and making it less democratic, as you say. I don't think there's any absolute standard of value that says aggressively addressing climate change is absolutely 100% always more important than lifting people out of poverty.
