The Challenges of Keeping Awareness Around an Event

The security community is very active, especially on social channels. A lot of times it's done to the benefit of the overall community and in hopes of creating a more secure overall environment. You also have individuals you have that will engage with a set of partial facts or potentially information that a threat actor has released. And they're making definitive statements or proclamations based on a subset of the full facts. But for the most part we have to ignore the comments from individuals that don't necessarily have full visibility into what's going on.
